I'm a senior Golden Retriever, rescued in Turkey and flown to California with the help of Tattered Paws and Golden Hearts Rescue. I'm a calm and gentle giant (95 pounds, though for some reason I'm supposed to lose a few) except when I can wrap my jaws around anything vaguely resembling food when on a walk. That's a bad leftover habit from living on the streets of Turkey.
The human who I adopted takes good care of me and treats me well, other than an occasional bath and feeding me "anti-fatso" kibble. I'm not fat, just ... robust. Oh, and he takes me to Starbucks for an occasional puppuccino. A dog could suffer more.

Enjoying a bone in my new yard in California!
Whoa, there was no Starbucks and puppuccinos in Turkey!
Three months of California life looks good on me!
Looking smug after surviving a bath.
The back of a Volkswagen Cabriolet beats the belly of a Turkish Boeing 777!

In the kitchen. Hope springs eternal!
