Made for Brenna by her Aunt Kathy and Aunt Laurie. Brenna's mother, Karie, received the original stuffed Humpty Kowalski as a gift when she was a child, the name being suggested by Karie's grandfather in honor of her grandmother's Polish roots. Kathy made Mrs. and Junior Kowalskis to complete the family. Those Kowalskis later succumbed to a horrible case of mold while in storage, but Kathy created a new pair (below) for Michael, Karie's first child. The father and mother in Brenna's quilt use the same fabric as Michael's Kowalskis. Dad is working on a roof (Brenna's father, Brian, is a roofer) while Mom Kowalski is knitting baby booties (Karie likes to knit). At the bottom, the junior Kowalskis include a girl ready to play baseball (like Brenna's big sister Laura) and a boy with a rocket (like Michael) and of course Baby Kowalski in the middle, safe behind the door.
