Karl's Kathy's Recipes: Chili Con Carni
This recipe is a favorite around our house! It was created by
Kathy's
mother, Pamela Wilson Klein, and is from
Mother's Cook Book
as compiled by Kathy's sister
Laurie
from their mother's hand-written notebook.
Cut
into small pieces. Brown well and add
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
Add
and brown thoroughly. Add
- 2 28-ounce cans kidney beans, with liquid
- 1 28-ounce can stewed tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 3 tablespoons vinegar
Simmer slowly for about 30 minutes. Season to taste. Serves 3-4.
(This is even better the next day!)
