The Gulfstream you saw was probably not new at all. It was most likely a
Gulfstream IIB which if I'm not mistaken combines the fuselage of the
original G II with the wing and winglets from a G III. Many  IIB's are
flying still with the original dirty engines lurking under that gleaming
new paint job.
