>WRT DC8-70 series, I believe it is the CFM-34, and not CFM-56. The CFM34 is a GE engine in the roughly 9,000-14,000 lbs thrust range, used on the Canadair RJ and its cousins. Far too small for the DC-8, which uses CFMI's 22,000 lbs thrust CFM56-2C series engines on the Super 70 series. -- Karl Swartz |Home kls@chicago.com |Work kls@netapp.com |WWW http://www.chicago.com/~kls/ Moderator of sci.aeronautics.airliners -- Unix/network work pays the bills
