On the Electra, the snyc-phasing was done for a much different reason.
It was done to prevent all four engines having propellor blades in front
of the wing at the same time. Since the propellor wash covers over 80%
of the wing on the Electra having all four propellors with blades in
front of the wing at the same time causes some aerodynamic problems.
