Technically, the A330 with the PW4168 engine was indeed uncertified at
the time.  However, the A330 with the CF6-80E1 engine was certified a
year earlier.  Since the crash was unrelated to the PW4168 engine, then
I can't see why this one should not count unless the certification of
the A330/CF6 was flawed.
