They were the downfall of the Comet. Larger windows would add cost and
complexity, and increase pressures on environmental systems.  Windows
don't do much for passenger comfort.  In wide bodies, the setting sun
through a distant window can be uncomfortable for passengers, and they
are too far away to ask for it to be closed.
