The -900 was approved by Boeing directors in June and would be stretched
to carry 18 more passengers than the upcoming 737-800 and give airlines
the option of adding more seats on basic routes.

According to Boeing,if advance sales go well, the -900 could be launched
before the end of the year and be ready for delivery in about two years.
