On two recent trips by 757, I sat in window seats in emergency exit rows, overlooking the wing. The seats were 16A and 15F. In both cases I found that a vertical area of the plastic wall covering, about 1 inch wide and 2 feet high, was almost too hot to touch. It coincided with one of the "ribs" between windows, and ran from elbow height to shoulder height more or less. Anyone know why these hot spots exist? They don't seem to exist outside of the emergency exit rows.
