The Boeing institutional/image campaign began after the Gulf War, when
air travel was at a very low level.  The reasoning behind Boeing's
emphasis of its family of aircraft is that -- it has a coherent plan and
deliverable range of aircraft.  Neither McD (had) nor Airbus have this,
though the latter has achieved some recent success in filling the gaps.
