I doubt it's that high. I recently flew a KLM 747 LAX to Amsterdam and I
asked the pilot how often he had had single engine failures. He stated
that he had NEVER had a single failure in his airline career!

What's unreasonable about the original poster's question is that if
you're going to be worried about flying, multiple engine failure is
nowhere near the highest priority thing to be worried about. More likely
problems include:

- terrorism
- bad weather
- pilot error on approach/landing
