Since mothballed airplanes get discussed here once in a while, I thought I'd pass along some information about a terrific book on the subject that I recently discovered (and no, I don't work for the publisher). It's called Desert Airliners, written by Graham Robson, and published by Motorbooks International. It is about 100 full-color pages of photos of airliners in storage at all the major sites in the southwest United States. There are also detailed histories of some of the more significant aircraft such as those used in movies, those damaged by terrorist acts and later repaired, etc. The book sells for about US $20 and was published in 1994. The ISBN number (by which most any bookseller can locate it) is 0-87938-904-4.
