SAw a report on TV with an argument that I had not considered. I have
not checked the facts, but here it is:

If a plane could do New York Sydney in 45 minutes, would humans be able
to widstand the G forces during acceleration and decelaration phases ?

If not, we will have to wait for "gravity fields" such as Star Trek to
neutralise the acceleration and deceleration effects on the passengers.
And we are not quite there yet.
