We practice that if the aircraft is in a critical stage of flight, T/O or LDG or otherwise near to the ground that if the engine is developing thrust and that thrust is required to get the aircraft to a safer altitude then we use it and shut it down at a more appropriate time. That later time may allow us to determine if it was a pneumatic leak. If the engine hiccups at all, all bets are off. Peter.
