Yep, the Junkers Ju 86 B, C, D, P and R models had various Jumo 205,
207 diesels including one with NOx boosting which helped give a
ceiling of 14400m (47 250 ft) making them immune to the attentions of
British interceptors for a long time.
If you see a newsreel of these machines, they leave a black exhaust
trail - was this the first air bus?
