According to one of their regional managers, Northwest Airlink also requires new pilots to pre-pay the cost of training and sign a length-of-service contract on hiring. I didn't find out how much it costs, but the pay on completion of the training (F.O. on commuter starting at $17k) won't pay it back very quickly! On the other hand, at least they're hiring new pilots rather than laying off experienced ones (at least they were when I talked to them about it).
