The Pratt & Whitney engine for the 777 flying test bed arrived Monday at Boeing Field from the Arnold Engineering Development Center (AEDC) in Tennessee. The engine will meet up with RA001 -- the first 747 ever built -- in late October, when the engine will be hung on the left wing of the airplane. Before flight testing begins in November, the engine's inlet and thrust reverser, along with extensive flight deck instrumentation, will be installed.
