For people without Usenet access, as well as for those who just prefer
mail, the sci.aeronautics.airliners newsgroup is now available via
e-mail.  This is a relay of all official articles posted to the group;
mail *to* the list simply goes to the same submission address as for
the newsgroup, which is moderated.

The list is machine-maintained using Brant Chapman's MajorDomo package.
While modelled along the lines of LISTSERV, it is not the same, so RTFM
even if you already known LISTSERV. Administrative requests, such as
requests to be added to the list, should be sent to

with the requests in the *body* of the message. Further instructions
are attached. (For convenience, also works. Any
requests to the submission address will be ignored.)

As always, submissions for the group should be sent to

This is the mailing list form of sci.aeronautics.airliners, a
moderated Usenet newsgroup. Submissions to the newsgroup/list
should be mailed to

or may be posted to the newsgroup if your news system properly
handles posting to moderated groups, something a depressingly
large number of systems do a dismal job of.

Administrative questions pertaining to the newsgroup should be
mailed to

Requests pertaining to the mailing list should be mailed to

Note that this is an automated system which processes commands
in the *body* of the message -- commands in the subject line
will be cheerfully ignored. While this software was inspired
by the BITNET LISTSERV, it is not LISTSERV and uses different
commands. The command

will return a list of commands. (For convenience, listserv is
a mail alias for majordomo.)
